Last December amidst a record snow storm, we moved east across the Cascade Mountains to our new home outside La Pine Oregon, about 40 miles south of Bend Oregon.  It is gorgeous here, both in the winter and in the summer.  My husband, Greg, and I are both retired now so are doing a little traveling and I am consumed by trying to grow vegetables in the high dessert where the summer days are 90+ and the nights are 40 or lower.  We have 5 acres covered with lodgepole pine and quaking aspen.  I am also able to spend more time quilting, which I love.  This fall I plan on volunteering some,as this tiny community has lots of need.  I will not be attending the reunion this year but hope you all have a grand time catchin up on news and enjoying each other.
